The choir likes to honour its long-serving members. Consequently, during the interval of the Bentley Priory Concert on the 28th January 2018, the choir made a surprise presentation to Vic Golding of a watch and a book of Gilbert and Sullivan’s operas. The presentation was made by our Chairman, Richard Evans. Vic’s son attended, much to the delight of both, when Vic realised he was there.

Vic enjoys singing and has been a member of the choir since 2001. He leads the Baritone section and until recently has been Deputy Music Director, standing in when David needed a night off! He has also performed solo and as part of a quartet in some of our concerts. At the AGM in 2016 Vic was made an honorary Life Vice President in recognition of his significant contribution.

As well as his membership of the Harrow Apollo Male Choir, Vic also conducts the U3A Choir in Hatch End and is an active member of the Kenton Amateur Operatic Society (KAOS).

Vic was thrilled and genuinely surprised by the choir’s recognition of his long-service. We look forward to his continued participation for many years to come.
