Congratulations to Jim Bolger, David Heasman and Mariea Jones who were February's lucky 100 club winners.

A lovely spring afternoon, too good to miss. So took time off from the virtual office and planted the garlic and onions that should've gone in back in Oct/Nov. Also spread the coffee grounds that we have been collecting every time we pass Starbucks on Watford High St. Hoping they will not only improve the soil but also deter the cats who seem to think our raised beds are a giant litter tray

There is no truth in the rumour that Male Voice Choirs are a lost tradition. The Spectator reports today, 13 April 2018, that there are 238 active MVCs listed in England, 91 in Wales, 26 in Ulster but only 6 in Scotland. There are 39 alone in Cornwall so if anyone meets a few Cornish folk in London invite them along.

Hi all
Sorry to read that last Tuesday's rehearsal did not go well, I submitted my apologies as I was away in Chamonix . However I did practice my breathing, David, from the top of Aiguille du Midi 3842 metres above sea level. So I hope the effort will be worth while on this Saturday night's performance.
See you then.Colin W

Glad you have come down from the mountain but should point out that the air is thinner there than in Hatch End! But well done for effort.

Interesting question: which makes breathing harder: the thinner air at altitude or the increased pollution in Hatch End?
